We are excited to share the news about our most recent partnership with Flywheel.
Flywheel was established in 2012 and quickly became one of the top ten WordPress hosting providers. It serves more than 28,000 customers globally. In 2018, Flywheel was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States and as the fastest-growing company in Nebraska.
Today, Awwwsome became the first Flywheel’s Agency Partner in Poland. It’s a big day for us. This strategic partnership will allow us to provide better hosting services and focus on what we are doing best — developing amazing WordPress sites and providing excellent support.
I bet you are wondering how this affects you and your website.
There is good news only!
The history of our hosting services is quite long! When we started, we’ve been hosting all sites on Vultr virtual servers. Then, we migrated to Digital Ocean. The performance of both providers was suboptimal, and we were not happy with their reliability.
At the end of 2019, we moved to our own hardware hosted in QTS Data Center in Atlanta. We had been using LiteSpeed as the default hosting environment for all sites.
While the performance was great, we quickly realized that self-owned hardware is a bottleneck when it comes to scalability. As we continued growing rapidly, we started having issues with infrastructure management and expansion.
With Flywheel, we can expand our infrastructure rapidly in a matter of minutes (thanks to Google Cloud). Additionally, we can get help from the experienced engineering team to help us resolve the technical issue and plan future improvements.
Great question! The most important benefit is the price. As we are hosting many sites with Flywheel, we are getting volume discounts. We are not taking these margins as our profit, which means with Awwwsome you are paying less for the hosting plan.
Even if you’re on our entry Awwwsome Cloud Starter plan, you have access to a specification of the high-end Flywheel plan. It means better performance and reliability of your site.
You would have to sign up for a $500+ plan to get the same performance and reliability.
